Books
One published work and a new investigative novel in development.
Published
Fragments, thoughts and meditations on the ability to be with oneself. A brief, reflective book about solitude as a space for awareness, creativity and kindness.
Begun in early 2022, the book gathers lived experiences, stories heard and observations transformed into self-contained pages. It is not meant to be rushed: every thought is followed by room to pause, remember and, if desired, write.
The idea behind the book
The absence of illustrations is intentional. Images are meant to arise in the reader’s mind and connect with memories, absences and the emotions of a personal story.
“The true image must not be printed on paper, but must come to life within the mind of the reader.”
From the preface
One page a day, allowing the thought to continue beyond its final line.
The white space becomes a place for notes, memories and personal emotions.
The author’s reflection meets the reader’s, allowing the book to change for each person who enters it.
Inside the pages
Solitude is not presented as simple absence. It becomes balance, attention and respect for one’s own time.
“We can learn to be at peace alone, building a perfect quiet bond with our silence. It is a fragile balance that protects us, until someone arrives who is capable of upending everything, and we find ourselves waiting only for the right moment to betray that solitude.”
Solitude
“The night holds its own ruthless and beautiful truth. During the day we are busy running, responding to messages, distracting ourselves with a thousand commitments to avoid listening to our innermost thoughts. Then darkness quietens the noise of the city, and in the silence of the room you remain alone with your questions. It is in that moment that you understand who you truly miss, which wounds still hurt, and what is still worth fighting for upon waking.”
Nights
“Do not measure the goodness of your life by the milestones others have set for you. Everyone has their own internal clock, their own story, and their own wounds to heal before setting off again. Walk at your own pace, enjoy the landscape, and do not compare your sowing season with the harvest season of others.”
